It is an extremely slow and meticulous process that I love because of the very high precision and the total absence of clean lines.

Halftone is a technique that simulates continuous-tone imagery through the use of dots, lines or squares varying either in size or in spacing, thus generating a gradient-like.

This reproduction relies on a basic optical illusion: when the halftone dots or lines are small, the human eye interprets the patterned areas as if they were smooth tones.

In the world of comics, halftone means the technique of reproducing shades and shading using a weave of small dots. This method reduces industrial printing costs, giving life to the classic vintage/retro style (Pop Art style or American comic).
